Modules werden in de fabriek gebouwd, terwijl op locatie enkele gascontainers naar een nieuwe locatie aan de overkant van de weg werden verplaatst en de grondwerkzaamheden werden voltooid. Omdat de bouw van de modules en de voorbereiding van de locatie gelijktijdig plaatsvonden, werden de verstoring van de ziekenhuisactiviteiten en de bouwtijd aanzienlijk verkort. Het nieuwe gebouw werd ge\u00efntegreerd met een bestaand theater, dat eerder door Vanguard werd geleverd, wat de bouw van een gedeelde gang en aanpassingen aan de airconditioningkanalen en de levering van medische gassen en stroom vereiste. De bouw vereiste het hijsen van materiaal met een kraan, over bezette ziekenhuisgebouwen, en dit werd in het weekend voltooid om verstoring tot een minimum te beperken. Nu de twee theaters voltooid en operationeel zijn, is Vanguard verantwoordelijk voor de service, het onderhoud en de regelmatige milieutests.<\/p>\n<p>Een onderdeel van het project voor de bouw van de nieuwe neurochirurgische operatiekamer was de herbestemming van de aangrenzende modulaire constructie Vanguard.  <\/p>\n<section id=\"section-2-254\" class=\"ct-section\" >\n<div class=\"ct-section-inner-wrap\">\n<div id=\"fancy_icon-5-254\" class=\"ct-fancy-icon\" ><svg id=\"svg-fancy_icon-5-254\"><use xlink:href=\"#FontAwesomeicon-quote-left\"><\/use><\/svg><\/div>\n<div id=\"text_block-3-254\" class=\"ct-text-block\" >\u201cDeze faciliteit vergroot onze capaciteit voor neurochirurgische pati\u00ebnten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Het verbetert de pati\u00ebntervaring. Omdat de Trust ambitieuze plannen voor het project had opgesteld, installeerde Vanguard tussen juni en december 2020 de modulaire bouwfaciliteit om de capaciteit voor interventionele radiologie te vervangen die verloren ging tijdens de renovatie, compleet met op de vloer en het plafond gemonteerde Philips Biplane. Deze aanpak minimaliseerde risico&#039;s en elke &#039;afwijking&#039; in de projecttijdlijn, iets dat cruciaal was om ervoor te zorgen dat de faciliteit op tijd en binnen budget werd opgeleverd.<\/p>\n<section id=\"section-2-254\" class=\"ct-section\" >\n<div class=\"ct-section-inner-wrap\">\n<div id=\"fancy_icon-5-254\" class=\"ct-fancy-icon\" ><svg id=\"svg-fancy_icon-5-254\"><use xlink:href=\"#FontAwesomeicon-quote-left\"><\/use><\/svg><\/div>\n<div id=\"text_block-3-254\" class=\"ct-text-block\" >\u201cHet leek de enige oplossing: een modulair lab gebruiken terwijl we de huidige ruimte upgraden en tegelijkertijd onze normale diensten leveren. Als we niet voor deze oplossing hadden gekozen, hadden we onze diensten moeten inkrimpen. We hebben een hybride operatiekamer met de chirurgen, die we hadden kunnen gebruiken, maar dat zou veel weekendwerk betekenen, wat gevolgen zou hebben gehad voor het moreel, de afdelingen en de spoedeisende hulp.\u201d<\/div>\n<div id=\"text_block-4-254\" class=\"ct-text-block\" >Dr. Anup Mathew, consultant interventioneel radioloog, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p><em>Toen de Trust haar onlangs gerenoveerde interventionele radiologieafdeling heropende, zag ze ook een kans om een nieuwe capaciteit in de Integrated Care Board te introduceren: neurochirurgie.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neurochirurgie theater 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vanguard heeft de modulaire interventionele radiologiekamer een nieuwe bestemming gegeven, inclusief het afdichten van het kijkvenster en het cre\u00ebren van een scrubgebied in de kijkkamer. De Trust was bezig met het herinrichten van operatiekamers in Royal Preston van oogheelkunde naar trauma, en het overbrengen van de oogheelkundige diensten naar Chorley and Ribble District Hospital, waar een nieuw Eye Centre werd gebouwd. Om de kloof te dichten tussen de herinrichting in Preston en de opening van het nieuwe Eye Centre, besprak de Trust mogelijke oplossingen met Vanguard.<\/p>\n<p>Vanguard is uniek in het kunnen leveren van faciliteiten met gemengde modaliteiten, die mobiele operatiekamers naadloos combineren met modulaire constructies. Het gebruik van de operationeel gereedstaande mobiele kamers verkort de doorlooptijden en verlaagt de kosten, terwijl het modulaire element zorgt voor ontwerpflexibiliteit, waardoor aan de behoeften van de Trust en de pati\u00ebnten wordt voldaan.<\/p>\n<section id=\"section-2-254\" class=\"ct-section\" >\n<div class=\"ct-section-inner-wrap\">\n<div id=\"fancy_icon-5-254\" class=\"ct-fancy-icon\" ><svg id=\"svg-fancy_icon-5-254\"><use xlink:href=\"#FontAwesomeicon-quote-left\"><\/use><\/svg><\/div>\n<div id=\"text_block-3-254\" class=\"ct-text-block\" >\u201cHet hebben van de Vanguard-eenheid als een op zichzelf staande faciliteit, los van het ziekenhuis, was een enorm voordeel in de vroege stadia van COVID-19. De hub was extreem druk geweest v\u00f3\u00f3r de pandemie, en bleef druk en extreem effectief gedurende de hele periode, waardoor we konden blijven opereren buiten de hoofdoperatiekamers van het ziekenhuis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>&nbsp;De modulaire sectie tussen de operatiekamers heeft geholpen met de pati\u00ebntenstroom, omdat we pre- en postoperatief op dezelfde locatie kunnen opnemen en beoordelen. Dit heeft echt geholpen om de pati\u00ebntervaring te verbeteren, omdat het betekende dat pati\u00ebnten via een pad konden worden opgenomen dat losstaat van het hoofdopnamegebied, waardoor electief werk door kon gaan. We willen Vanguard bedanken voor hun steun en expertise bij het opstarten van de hub.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text_block-4-254\" class=\"ct-text-block\" >Dr. Shveta Bansal, oogarts, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>Deze faciliteit bestond uit twee mobiele operatiekamers en, binnen het modulaire deel, kamers waarin pati\u00ebnten zich zouden melden, door een verpleegkundige of specialist zouden worden gezien en na de procedure zouden herstellen, voordat ze werden ontslagen. Er werd een gang gebouwd om het oogheelkundige centrum te verbinden met het hoofdziekenhuis en er werd een back-upgenerator ge\u00efnstalleerd voor het geval er noodstroom nodig was. In \u00e9\u00e9n operatiekamer werden vitreoretinale staarprocedures uitgevoerd onder plaatselijke verdoving. In de tweede operatiekamer werden algehele anesthesie-oogheelkundige procedures uitgevoerd.<\/p>\n<p>Naast het ter beschikking stellen van de faciliteiten, leverde Vanguard ook personeel en apparatuur om het aantal pati\u00ebnten dat er baat bij zou hebben, te maximaliseren.<\/p>\n<p>De operatiekamers werden dagelijks gebruikt, wat hielp om de wachtlijsten voor aandoeningen zoals glaucoom, oculaire plastische chirurgie, oogkanker en staar te verkorten. Covid-19 dwong veranderingen af bij de Trust en het oogheelkundige centrum werd opnieuw gebruikt. Doordat het zich op een afstand van de hoofdlocatie van het ziekenhuis bevond en een zelfstandige omgeving had, was het ideaal voor spoedoperaties. Soms werd personeel ook gevraagd om de personeelsteams van de Trust aan te vullen in de belangrijkste operatiekamers in het ziekenhuis.<\/p>\n<p>Toen de Covid-beperkingen werden versoepeld, werd het chirurgische centrum opnieuw gebruikt.
